Rio Olympics Gold Medalist Erica Wiebe (75 kg) considers Pro Wrestling League Season 2 as the stepping stone for action roles in Bollywood

NEW DELHI: Recently scouted by WWE, Olympic Medalist Erica Wiebe is excited to participate in the second season of Pro Wrestling League with an eye on Bollywood. The ace wrestler considers the platform of PWL 2 as a stepping stone for action roles in Bollywood. The Olympic medalist has also received many offers from WWE in recent days but pro wrestling is her only priority. She has postponed all her programs to participate in the league. The second season is set to kick-start from 2nd January 2017.

Erica won Gold medal in 75 KG weight category in Rio Olympics. It is Canada’s third Olympic wrestling Gold medal in the event. Last year she also won Golden Grand Prix and a Gold medal in the Commonwealth Games. This time she is confident about significant bid in the auction for PWL. The auction will be held in the third week of December. The future of large number of Olympic and world champions will be on stake.

Erica also said that she likes Bollywood very much. She believes that PWL – 2 will open gates for Bollywood. The Gold Medalist said, “I am a freestyle wrestler and I love to wrestle. Delighted to explore if anything interesting comes my way, more so from Bollywood as many combat movies are made in India.”

Bollywood is very much liked in Canada and it also increases the opportunity for foreigners to work in Bollywood films. Erica also adds that she would like to work in bollywood since she knows that there is a large community of Indians in Canada, and they love her wrestling art.
