Counting for votes completed NDA’s candidate Mr M Venkaiah has won the Vice President of India election Naidu as expected Mr Naidu is the next Vice President of India.Mr Naidu as per the permutation of Votes in both houses of parliament, an official declaration to be announced at 7PM today. Mr Naidu an excellent orator in many languages .
Voting to elect the 13th Vice President of India has come to an end and results are expected by 7 PM this evening. There is a straight fight between NDA’s candidate M Venkaiah Naidu and Opposition nominee Gopalkrishna Gandhi. The one who bags 50 per cent plus one vote of the total valid votes cast will win the poll.
Mr Naidu has served as the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Information and Broadcasting in the present government. The opposition nominee Mr Gandhi, a former IAS officer, has served as Governor of West Bengal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Venkaiah Naidu and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were among the first to cast their vote. The Vice President is elected by an electoral college comprising members of both the Houses of Parliament including nominated members.
