from Zone B in Season 5 of 
Pro Kabaddi League

This will be the 5th consecutive appearance in playoffs stages

New Delhi, ​October 12 2017: Patna Pirates, two-times defending champions of Pro Kabaddi League has reached the super playoffs stage in Season 5 of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League. This will be their 5th consecutive appearance in playoffs stages.

Patna Pirates has been exciting Kabbadi followers with their excellent Kabbadi skills on mats. The team has outperformed their rivals in all disciplines of tactics and strategies.

Till date the team has played 20 thumping matches and has won 10 matches, lost 6 matches and tied 4 matches in Season 5. They will be playing their last league matches against Tamil Thalaivas on October 14 and Bengaluru Bulls on October 18. The team is hoping for making it to summit clash on October 28, 2017 at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium in Chennai when finals of Season 5 will be played.

The squad strength of Patna Pirates consists of 16 Indian players and 2 foreign players. The name includes Pardeep Narwal, Vijay, Parveen Birwal, Arvind Kumar, Mohammad Maghsoudlou, Vishal Mane, Sachin Shingade, Monu Goyat, Md. Zakir Hossain, Jaideep, Manish, Jawahar, Satish, Sandeep, Virender Singh, Vikash Jaglan, Vishnu Uthaman and Vinod Kumar. The team is coached by veteran Kabbadi coach Shri


​​Ram Mehar Singh. Lead by a highly talented captain and trained by a veteran coach, the team is a fine balance of youth and experienced players.

Patna Pirates is the only team in Pro Kabaddi league that has performed consistently in all their league appearances. The team has reached in playoff matches in all previous 4 seasons and was crowned as champions in Season 3 and Season 4 of Pro Kabaddi League.
