                        The exhibition ‘Kurai Onrum Illai, MS: A life in Music’ has been moved to

Chennai.

It was  inaugurated by Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India

on 17th October, 2017 at 10.15 am.

 

Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu was the chief Guest

on the occasion.

Event :             The 12th concert under the classical music series Bhinn Shadj, is being held in

collaboration with SPICMACAY.

 

Pandit Kadari Gopalnath will be the artist of the month.

                       

Bhinn Shadj is a monthly classical music series initiated by IGNCA, under which artists are requested to present rare ragas and compositions. The inaugural concert was presented by Prof Ritwik Sanyal on 19 November, 2016.

Under the Outreach initiative the IGNCA Book Circle has a monthly event held on the fourth Thursday of every month from 4:00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

This month, Dr. R. Nagaswamy will read from his book “Masterpieces of Chola Art”.   This book is illustrated with 260 colour photographs of Chola Art Architecture, Sculpture, Bronzes, Paintings, etc.
