The Capital was grooving and dancing on the 2nd day of 11th International Arts Festival
Artist from EGYPT ARGENTINA IRAN and CANADA enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing performance
New Delhi : The capital was dancing and grooving on the 2nd day of India’s biggest Signature Festival -11th Delhi International Arts Festival, with some amazing performances by EGYPT, ARGENTINA, IRAN in central park, Connaught Place famously known as the heart of Delhi. The Egypt team stole the show by their awesome performance and followed by Argentina and Iran.
The festival was running in 4 different venues simultaneously, which includes civil services officers’ institute, Chanakyapuri, Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre and Bikaner House, Pandara. Not only dance, the ASEAN FILM & ASIAN CINEMA at India Habitat Centre and Bikaner House, Pandara respectively also mesmerized the audience.
Ms. Prathibha prahlad founder festival director said that, “DIAF is a people’s fest and has been supported all these 11 yrs with love and affection by the people of India. While thanking everyone for their support, she said that India having a rich cultural heritage needed to increase it’s cultural footsteps internationally to become the culture capital of the world. Ambassadors from different countries came to be part of this beautiful cultural ensemble”.
Delhi International Arts Festival is hosted by Forum for Art beyond Borders and Prasiddha Foundation. It is a Fifteen Day festival of Art and Culture and this year more than 1500 artistes from all over the World who will showcase their talent in this festival. During the next fortnight, the capital will be bedecked with cultural lives. The 11th Delhi International Arts Festival will be celebrated from 11th November to 25th November,2017 at 25 prime venues in New Delhi & the NCR region like famous heritage sites, auditoriums, amphitheatre, cultural hubs and other eidetic places.
This year One of the highlights of Delhi International Arts Festival will be the celebration of silver jubilee of ASEAN-INDIA Partnership at Qutub Minar in Closing ceremony which will feature Artistic Border Guards Group from Vietnam, a Traditional Dance & Music Performance from Bangladesh, Sumatera Dance Troupe from Indonesia and Baihana Trio from Philippines
Delhi International Arts Festival had something for everyone. Artistes will be visiting almost 18 schools during day to address and harness young minds to the beauty of the arts. National Museum and National Archives will see the visit of hundreds of children, to familiarize them into the world of heritage, legacy and culture and also unique initiative “Swacchata hi seva” taken by Delhi International Arts Festival
Film Festivals, children’s ’events, high energy performances with rich diversity will mark the 11th edition of DIAF. The Festival will be brought to you in collaboration with the Ministries of Culture, Indian Council for Cultural relations and the Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
