Afghan security officials said a suicide bombing at a voter registration center in Kabul has killed at least 31 people and injured more than 50. It is the latest attack aimed at sabotaging a long-delayed parliamentary election
Amaq news agency, which has links with the Islamic State group, reports that the militants carried out the attack.
The officials say a man blew himself up on Sunday near the gate of a high school that serves as a voter registration center, and that victims include women and children.
Voter registration began this month for a lower house election set for October. The poll has been delayed for 3 years due to the deteriorating security situation.
