TRADERS WELCOME AMENDMENTS IN MASTER PLAN

CAIT URGE HARDEEP PURI TO  RESOLVE REMAINING SEALING ISSUES

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has welcomed the approval of DDA Authority to various amendments to be made in Master Plan 2021 and termed it as a most positive step of Central Government to resolve sealing issue in Delhi. The amendments are pending since a long time as it were hold by the Supreme Court but now with today’s developments, these will be notified shortly bringing relief to about 5 lakh traders and residents of Delhi-said CAIT.

‘Its proactive support of Urban Development Minister Shri Hardeep Puri and Delhi LG Shri Anil Baijal that prompted DDA to bring these amendments which will be beneficial for people of Delhi and therefore both Shri Puri & Shri Baijal needs to be complemented’-said CAIT Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal

Mr.Khandelwal further said that one time payment of conversion charge for 10 years has brought end to confusion in conversion charge payment whereas on the other hand allowing Godowns on 12 mtr Road in Agricultural land and on 7.5 mtr Road in Lal Dora area, no conversion charges for shop plots, granting FAR 350 to all are very dynamic & positive amendments. He further said that de-sealing of shops covered under the amendments should now take place immediately after notification of the amendments. Various other critical issues are yet to be resolved and as such the CAIT shall be in continuous dialogue with the Government.

Mr. Khandelwal said that on the other hand the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal now should strongly defend notifying 351 Roads in Supreme Court which have already got the assent of the LG.

Mr. Khandelwal said the enhancement of FAR will certainly benefit not only the traders but the RWAs as well and they can regularise their extra construction various other issues have remain unsolved including special area and demanded that till Re-Development Plan of special area is made, there should not be any penal action. The LSCs declared in 1998 should be charged the rate prevailing in 1998. The colonies like Greater Kailash, South Extension and Green Park which were developed by DLF should be enlisted in Rehabilitation Colony since all colonies developed by DLF have been categorised as Rehabilitation Colony. The usage of basement should be allowed on Mixed land and Pedestrian Street.
