Corrupted DMRC Ph-III Lines Rs.50,000 Cr Largely Wasted

It was scandalous to find DMRC had largely wasted Rs.50,000 Cr on Phase III. Recently I tried Nehru Place – Hauz Khas section of newline. Due to inaccessibility and Difficult interchanges are not becoming Popular.

Exit to Panch Sheel Park was almost 1 kilometer walk underground wasn’t pleasant. Interchange has to be Quick and Mechanized. When two tracks are Crossing Each other one should be ‘Lifted From One Level to another’.

Instead of Stainless Steel Seats or Double Deck Train-sets like in Sydney Transit and new Coaches have Plastic Seats which are not durable or will get scratches.

But is funny is that though New Train-sets are Driverless but still there are Cabins for Drivers. New signaling Technology was introduced which made it Costlier and dependent on Imports for Servicing.

Compared to roomy Mitsubishi Designed Coaches and new Coaches are Smaller and Standard Gauge which meant can’t be interchanged with older Train-sets and require Different and Expensive Store Inventory.

Distance between IG Domestic Airport and Delhi Cantt is barely 2-3 kilometer but DMRC services takes 42 minutes has 14 Stations and 2 interchanges – Fare Rs.40.

It is Scandalous though International & Domestic Airport Terminals are Delhi Metro connected and lines cross each other but there is no INTERCONNECT which may cost say Rs.100 Crore but DMRC is planning another Metro Line under the IG Airport Runways which may cost Rs.3,000 Cr.

 

Obviously DMRC had bungled up but can make up by providing‘INTERCONNECTED BUS SERVICES’ to Delhi Cantt and International Airports.

At IIT Metro Station is located on 3 kilometer long DIVIDED ROAD so people living in Service Zone have to Travel 5-6 kilometer more to access Metro Station – Delhi Metro ought to have built UNDERPASS for Cars and Two Wheelers.

 

Noida – Greater Noida line could have been Conventional Track and saved over Rs.10,000 Cr.

 

Noida & Greater Noida cities don’t have their own Centrally Located Railway Station & Mainline Railways yet but has Four Metro Projects going to be Operational and this is the most FOOLISH.

 

DMRC Stations are Not Designed for Senior Citizens or Not Fully Fit.
