Dear Mr. Sagar,

Trust my mail finds you well.

I am pleased to inform you that Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is mounting a delegation to participate in BRICS Future Skills Challenge, Johannesburg (1th October – 6th October 2018)

It is to apprise you that China hosted first BRICS Skills Competition in 2017, which focussed on manufacturing related skills like welding, youth maker, machinery and electricity skills etc. During the interim meeting in Shanghai, nomenclature of BRICS Skill Competition was changed to BRICS Future Skills Challenge and included various other components like Research & Knowledge Paper Development, Conference, Workshops etc. under the BRICS mandate.

South Africa is hosting the second BRICS Future Skills Challenge in Johannesburg from 28th Sep to 8th Oct 2018. South Africa has developed a framework for the competition in consensus with BRICS nations and it covers 12 skill trades under three skill areas- Digital, Manufacturing & Engineering and Aviation. The detailed concept note and the guidelines on the same are enclosed for your reference.

There would be an industrial exhibition on the side-lines of the competition, where industry leaders from all BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) nations will be participating. Organizers are expecting a footfall of 5000 national and international visitors during the challenge. International Visitors would also include the Government Officials, Business Associations, Multilateral & Bilateral Agencies and Private Players working in the TVET space”.

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has confirmed India participation in 8 skills (list of skills is attached for reference)

FICCI would be leading a delegation comprising of State Government Officials, Skill Development stakeholders, and key Industry from 1st to 6th Oct. It will be great opportunity for exploring international partnerships, showcasing your work, business expansion and B2B meetings.

I am sharing the accommodation package for delegate along with exhibition package for the exhibitors with key benefits. We will also share tentative itinerary shortly.

We eagerly look forward to your response to this wonderful international networking opportunity.
