Just released Credit Suisse Global Wealth Databook 2018 revealed India added $4.8 trillion to India’s Wealth in 18 years to China adding Ten Times More $48 trillion.

Wealth of India in 2000 was $1,056bwhen wealth of China was $3,704b, as latest mid 2018 data India’s wealth has inched to $5,972b to China zoomed to $51,874b.

 

Wealth addition in 2017-18 was only$151b only against $451b in 2016-17 when China added $2,266b and $1,716b respectively.

There are only four major economies in the world where Richest 1% Ownmore than 50% of country’s wealth India 51.5%, Turkey 54.4%, Russia 57.1% and Thailand 66.9%.

Bottom 50% of India own just 2.4% of India’s wealth in 2018, owned 4.5% of India’s wealth in 2014. Tables 6.5
