#ChildrensDay, #NITIAayog & @UNICEFIndia join hands to celebrate grassroots innovation as the Top 6 teams of @AIMtoInnovate‘s Atal Tinkering Marathon, 2017 are awarded the @UNICEF – ATL Young Champions Awards.
On occasion of Children’s Day, NITI Aayog, together with UNICEF India, is announcing the ‘UNICEF-ATL Young Champion Awards’ to celebrate young dynamic innovators from Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) across India.
Selected from over thousands for innovations by children for the benefit of their communities, these young champions will also be role models for children from their communities.
Following this, UNICEF and NITI together will launch a 72 hour tinkering hackathon for children to innovate for problems faced by children in schools – especially pertaining to quality of education and safety in schools. This is in line with the overall theme for World Children’s Day celebrated globally – ‘Enabling Schools as Safe and Supportive Spaces for Every Child.’
