President Ram Nath Kovind today unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Parramatta in Sydney. On this occasion, a large number of Indian community were present to welcome Indian President. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was also present on this occasion. Both the leader addressed Indian Diaspora. President also presented the book Hind Swaraj to Australian PM.

President Ram Nath Kovind has invited the Indian diaspora to invest in the country and be a part of its transformational journey. Mr Kovind was addressing the Indian Diaspora in Sydney today, on the first day of his four-day visit to Australia.
After concluding his Vietnam tour, the President reached Sydney this morning becoming the first Indian President to visit Australia. Our correspondent reports that earlier in the day, the President visited the Anzac memorial at Hyde Park in Sydney.
It was constructed in 1934 in remembrance of the Australian Imperial Force that took part in World War I. Mr Kovind laid a wreath at the memorial and paid homage to those who laid down their lives in the war.
