Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with Argentinian President Mauricio Macri in New Delhi today. The two leaders will review the progress in bilateral ties and will explore new areas of co-operation.
Several agreements are also expected to be signed after the talks. President Ram Nath Kovind will host a Banquet in honour of the Argentinian President. Mr Macri will also address the Plenary Session of India-Argentina Business Forum. He is scheduled to visit Mumbai tomorrow.
Earlier today the visiting dignitary was accorded ceremonial reception at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed him. Mr Macri paid homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
India and Argentina traditionally share warm and friendly ties anchored in mutually beneficial partnerships. The bilateral co-operation spans areas including economic, commercial, agriculture, science, technology, culture and tourism.
