Wing Commander Abhinandan will be in India Tomorrow | Another MoDiplomacy Win
Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who is currently being held captive by Pakistan, will be released tomorrow. The announcement was made by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. This is done just before the Joint Conference by three forces of India planned for today evening.
First Pakistan tried to use Wing Commander as a trump card to cut a deal with India in the same way they did in Kandahar. But India asserted that there is a no question of any deal on the return of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. India acted in a way Pakistan understands. Also going by the Geneva convention, Pakistan had to return the Wing Commander anyways within the seven days of his capture. The truth is, Pakistan can’t stand India’s diplomatic and military prowess and had to take this step. Now Imran Khan is trying to capture the opportunity to become a “Good Boy” on an international platform and give a new prop to his “Aman ki Asha” sleeper cells in India.
