A cyclonic circulation induced by a western disturbance sits over Haryana presently and will cause moderate to heavy snow or rain in Uttarakhand. Isolated rain is also likely in western Uttar Pradesh. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are also possible in these states.
Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience isolated rainfall or snow. Similarly, scattered rain or snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh. Rest of the northern states like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi will receive isolated rain.
Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim will experience scattered snow or rain. Assam will also get isolated rainfall.
Down south, isolated rain is possible over Kerala, accompanied by thunderstorms.
Air quality will be poor or very poor across the country, especially in the major cities like Delhi. Maximum temperatures will be much cooler than normal in Haryana and the adjoining states.
The cyclonic circulation will embark on an eastward trajectory and will cause moderate to heavy snow or rain in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim from Tuesday onwards. The TWC Met team has also predicted isolated rain in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, and Meghalaya. The possibility of thunderstorms and lightning has been highlighted in these states.
Uttarakhand will receive scattered snow or rain. Similarly, isolated snow or rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh.
Affected by warm and moist winds from the Bay of Bengal, Kerala will experience isolated rain with thunderstorms.
Another Western Disturbance will move towards north India on Thursday.
