A passenger plane carrying more than 140 people has slid off a runway into a river in the southern US state of Florida. Twenty-one people were injured.
The Boeing 737 aircraft skidded into the St. Johns River on Friday night while landing at a naval air station in the city of Jacksonville. The plane was operated by US charter airline Miami Air International.
The US Navy says there were 143 people onboard.
The Navy says the plane arrived from a US military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Media reports say the passengers included service personnel and their families.
CNN quoted one passenger as saying there was a thunderstorm at the time of the accident.
