PM requests teachers for active support to eliminate single use plastic
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested teachers, for active support and participation to eliminate single use plastic. He said, if teachers explain to the students the harm caused to the environment by single-use plastic and advice them to shun it, students will feel motivated to become a part of the cause.
Mr Modi said, this will be a great tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Jayanti. In his message, on Teachers’ Day, Prime Minister said, that teachers should focus on outcomes rather than outlays. He said, today, India is witnessing a paradigm shift in the education sector. The selfless nature of teachers is universally admired.
Despite the busy schedules and familial responsibilities, teachers ensure that students are able to learn new ideas and concepts with ease. Mr Modi said, in addition to teaching subjects in the classroom, teachers are exceptional guides and mentors, who play prominent roles on the lives of their students.
He saluted the entire teaching fraternity for their hardwork, dedication and commitment. Mr Modi said, he is happy to see that the teachers are working hard to ignite a spirit of research and innovation among young minds.
