PM Modi launches Indo-Russian Innovation Bridge

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Indo-Russian Innovation Bridge which is an online platform to promote joint innovations. 

The facility is meant to bridge the gap between Indian and Russian startup ecosystems. 

Mr Modi today visited the India Business Pavilion at the Eastern Economic Forum. 

Later, the Prime Minister visited International Jigoro Kano Judo Tournament, the main sporting event of the Eastern Economic Forum. Russian President Vladimir Putin accompanied the Prime Minister.

The tournament is an annual event held under the patronage of the Russian President and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. 

It brought together Judo players under the age 18 from Russia, India, Japan, China, Korea and Mongolia. 

The Indian contingent comprising six male judo players are participating in the tournament. 

The Prime Minister will leave for New Delhi shortly after concluding his three-day visit to Russia.
