Iranian Protestors take to the Streets in Anti-Government Fury after Tehran Admits Downing Ukrainian Flight.
Morning hundreds are rallying in the streets of the Iranian capital calling for the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to resign after the government acknowledged military had mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian jetliner, killing all 176 people on board.
Female university students in Tehran have also joined anti-establishment protests in Tehran and ask the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei to step down.
Students chanting: “Khamenei, be ashamed and step down.”
Protesters chanted slogans denouncing “liars” and demanded the resignation and prosecution of those responsible for downing the plane and allegedly covering up the accidental action.
