Johns Hopkins University says 1,464,852 people had tested positive for the new coronavirus globally as of Wednesday. The death toll stands at 85,397.
The United States tops the list, with 402,923 people infected, followed by Spain, with 146,690, Italy, with 139,422 and France, with 110,070.
Italy has the most deaths, at 17,669, followed by Spain, with 14,673, the US, with 13,007 and France, with 10,328.
