Corona figures show a flat curve says Anders Tegnell
The latest corona figures show that Sweden is now in a plateau phase and that the situation is relatively unchanged, according to the Public Health Agency’s chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.
During the past 24 hours 606 new cases of people being infected with the new corona virus have been confirmed in Sweden, bringing the total number up to 13, 822. The number of fatalities has grown by 111 to 1,511 deaths, and the number of patients in intensive care grew by 30 to 1,054.
Anders Tegnell says that the figures are stable and somewhat under their level of the previous week, with the number of deaths averaging at around 70 a day. And he says that the length of what he calls the plateau phase is showing that Sweden is keeping the curve of new cases relatively flat
