PM warns public to remain vigilant during pandemic

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven warned citizens on Wednesday that the danger of the coronavirus pandemic was far from over and urged them to continue following health guidelines.
His remarks come about a week before the Swedish holidays of Valborg when students party in university towns and elsewhere people traditionally gather around evening bonfires on April 30, and May Day, a labor holiday celebrated with public speeches and parades.
To date Sweden hasn’t instituted any compulsory lock downs during the outbreak like many other countries. Instead, it’s relied on voluntary measures to limit the spread of the disease.
