An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted 89 km NW of Port-Vila, Vanuatu at 02:59:15 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 17.1 degrees south latitude and 167.8 degrees east longitude.
