SPB Passed Away

Balasubrahmanyam, 74, died on Friday after spending days in intensive care in a hospital in Chennai.

On August 5, SPB confirmed testing positive for COVID-19 with ‘mild’ symptoms through a video message posted on his official Facebook page.

Legendary singer #SPBalasubrahmanyam, known #SPB, passed away at a private hospital at 1:04 p.m. in Chennai on Friday, at the age of 74 had mild symptoms in early August. He has sung 40,000 songs in 16 languages,Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi.

After over a month-long battle in a Chennai hospital, legendary singer S P Balasubrahmanyam passed away on Friday.

S P Charan, the late maestro’s son, told the media that his 74-year-old father passed into the ages at 1:04 pm.

Legend departed is survived by wife Savitri Balasubrahmanyam and his children, Charan and Pallavi Balasubrahmanyam.

Home Minister Amit Shah condoled the passing away of legendary musician  and playback singer S  P Balasubrahmanyam. Mr Shah said, he will forever remain in memory through his melodious voice and unparalleled music compositions.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar expressed grief at the demise of noted singer Padmabhushan S P Balasubrahmanyam. He said, the country today lost a melodious vocalist. Praying for peace to the departed soul, Mr. Javadekar expressed condolences to the family, friends and crores of people who loved the singer.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed shock and grief over the demise of eminent singer and film actor, S P Balasubrahmanyam. In a statement The Chief Minister said  demise of SPB is an irreparable loss for the film fraternity. He felt it was unfortunate that the best of the best efforts by doctors could not save him.

Andhra Pradesh Governor Sri Biswabhusan Harichandan also expressed profound grief and sadness at the demise of S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.
