Senate Republicans pushed through the confirmation of Trump Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett, potentially giving the Supreme Court a 6-3 conservative majority for decades.

The Senate has confirmed Pres. Trump’s pick Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court in record time despite pushback from Democrats – marking the closest any nominee has been confirmed to a presidential election.

US Senate has approved the appointment of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to become the newest US Supreme Court justice. The Republican-controlled body has voted 52 to 48. ⁠

Made just days before the presidential election, this decision gives conservatives on the court a decisive 6-3 majority.
