Sean Connery was the first actor to portray the character of modern Spy, brand  James Bond 007 in film, played Secret Agent in seven Bond films. His popularity peaked late 60s to early seventy.

Sir Sean Connery has died at the age of 90, his family have said.

The Scottish actor was best known for being the first actor to play James Bond on the big screen, taking the role in 1962 and going on to star in seven of the films.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery is a Scottish retired actor and producer who has won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards, and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.
