Blast in Kabul

Explosion reported in Kabul today morning. Police in Kabul say a bomb attached to the vehicle of a former presenter on Afghanistan’s TOLO TV has exploded, killing the journalist and two other civilians.

Former TOLOnews journalist Yama Siawash was killed in an explosion in Makrorayan-e-Char area in Kabul this morning, his family confirmed.

Three including a former News Anchor Yama Siyawash killed in a magnetic IED explosion on a Corolla vehicle in Macroryan area of Kabul.

At least seven people, including five civilians, were wounded in an explosion in Zabul on Saturday, said Ata Jan Haqbayan, head of Zabul provincial council. He said the blast happened near his office.

A bomb attached to the vehicle of a presenter on Afghanistan’s TOLO TV exploded early on Saturday, killing the journalist and two other civilians, Kabul police said.

The surge in violent attacks comes even as government negotiators and the Taliban are meeting in Qatar to find an end to decades of relentless war in Afghanistan.
