Donald Trump fired Christopher Krebs in a tweet, saying his recent statement defending the security of the election was “highly inaccurate.”
Announcing the firing of Mr Krebs on Twitter, Mr Trump continued to insist without evidence the 2020 Election was mired in “massive improprieties and fraud”.
“Therefore, effective immediately, Chris Krebs has been terminated as Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency,” Mr Trump wrote.
