Swede Covid Fresh Measure

Few legal experts say lockdowns are difficult here, due to rights enshrined in the constitution.

Stefan Löfven says that the summer respite is over and that the nation faces a critical period in the fight to limit the spread of Covid-19.

Prime Minister has in his televised speech to the nation, as the spread of Covid-19 rises once again. In the speech, Löfven warned that some have become careless in following guidelines designed to limit the spread of the virus, but said that with restraint, tenaciousness and courage the country would once again cope with the pandemic.

There is coronavirus infection, or suspected infection, at care homes managed by 93 of Sweden’s 290 municipalities, according to a new survey by Swedish Radio News.

Eight municipalities covid riden say the situation is serious, and 46 say it is serious but under control. Most report suggest good access to protective equipment, but there are worries over staffing levels.

Swede government says it is to give an exemption in the new rules limiting the number of people that can go to public events. While the general rule will be max 8 people allowed at public events, up to 20 people will be able to go to funerals as of Tuesday.
