Taj Agra Metro

Since 2014 more than 450 kms of metro lines are operational in the country and about 1000 kms of metro lines are work in progress: PM @narendramodi #AgraMetroProject

Taj Metro project has 14 km long Sikandara to Taj Mahal East Gate corridor of the Agra Metro will have 13 stations, of which 6 will be elevated and 7 will be underground stations.

The project will benefit 26 lakh population of the city of Agra and will also cater to more than 60 lakh tourists who visit Agra every year.PM said.

PM @narendramodi to virtually inaugurate construction of Agra Metro Project on Dec 7; Metro project comprises 2 corridors with a length of 29.4 km and connects major tourist attractions like #TajMahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra with railway stations and bus stands.

PM @narendramodi to virtually launch the construction work of #AgraMetro on Monday MD of UP Metro Rail Corporation,#UPMRC Kumar Keshav said the Metro will be a boon to the tourism &first train will run on the priority section from Taj Mahal to Jama Masjid.

Agra Metro has two metro corridors: Corridor-1 from Taj East Gate to Sikandra (14km) & Corridor-2 from Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar (15.4 km). It has 23 elevated & 8 underground stations.

The project will be completed in 5 years with an estimated cost of over Rs. 8,379 crore. It will benefit 26 lakh people of Agra city and more than 60 lakh tourists who visit Agra every year.

It will provide an environment friendly Mass Rapid Transit System to Agra.
