The Prime Minister of Slovakia, #IgorMotavic, has tested positive for the CoOVID-19, sources close to the leader told the Bratislava-based TA3 broadcaster on Friday. He promised to follow proper Covid19 guidelines for the next few days.
Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic tested positive for COVID-19, he announced on social media Friday.
“I’m one of you today,” he wrote on Facebook
Slovak media outlets, including the Slovak Spectator, reported that Matovic met two coalition leaders Thursday night.
Prime Minister has canceled all work programs,” it said.
Speaker of the country’s parliament Boris Kollar, who had a meeting with Matovic on Thursday, will go into quarantine for five days, according to Kollar’s spokesperson.
Last week, PM Matovic attended the EU leaders summit in Brussels.
Slovakia is going into a light version of lockdown since Saturday. Most of shops will be closed while churches and ski centres are opened. Families should create a bubble of not more than two households.
