Kerala Governor accepts resignation of CM P Vijayan; asks to continue in office till formation of new government.
In Kerala, as the CPM led LDF is all set to resign, the CPI (M) and the LDF will soon begin the discussions regarding the formation of the new government.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan handed over his resignation letter to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan today.
The Governor accepted the resignation and directed the Chief Minister to continue in office till the formation of the new government.
The CPI (M) State Secretariat meeting scheduled to be convened tomorrow will hold discussion on formation of new Government.
Prior to this, members of the state politburo will also convene a meeting to discuss and decide further proceedings.
While briefing the media, Chief Minister Vijayan said that no decisions have yet been made regarding the swearing-in-ceremony in view of the COVID surge.
