Elected legislators of All India NR Congress & BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) met Puducherry Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to stake claim to form the government in Puducherry.
Puducherry, the NR Congress leader N Rengasamy met the Lieutenant Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan this evening and staked his claim to form the government.
AIR correspondent reports, as a sudden move the NR Congress legislators have elected unanimously, their party chief N Rengasamy as the party leader of the Legislative Assembly.
Later accompanied by the Party MLAs Rengasamy met the Lieutenant Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and handed over the list of supporters.
Further He staked his claim to form the government.
On receiving the list Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said that the swearing in ceremony will be held soon.
Meanwhile the Puducherry BJP incharge Nirmal Kumar Surana had discussions with Rengasamy at the later s residence, regarding the formation of the government and sharing of portfolios.
In the NDA Alliance, the NR Congress bagged 10 seats and BJP got 6 seats.
