216-feet ‘Statue of Equality’ to be construed near JIVA Asramam in Sriramnagar, Samshabad, Hyderabad  

New Delhi, September 16, 2017: In a bid to commemorate the Sahasrabdi anniversary (1017-2017) of great saint His Holiness Sri Ramanujacharya, his statue towering 216 feet the Statue of Equality will be constructed adjacent toJIVA Asramam in Sriramnagar, Samshabad, Hyderabad, India.  This Rs. 1000 crore project was conceptualized in the year 2014. 

His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy said, “The Statue Of Equality Project is a dedication to the great icon of Equality, Sri Ramanujacharya Swamy. He created ripples in the society 1000 years ago with His revolutionary thoughts and brought the neglected on the same platform on par with the elite when the society was gripped with social evils of untouchability and class-based discrimination. He was the first one to bring the down-trodden into temples and give the “Ashtakshari Manthra” to the common man, denying all odds.”  

·    The Statue of Equality will be made of Pancha Loha (Combinations of 5 Metals).

·    The statue will be surrounded by 108 Divya Desas which will be built in stone, rich with ornate architectural detailing.

·    Audio guides in at least 5 languages including English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil etc will be provided to all visitors explaining the history of each of these temples.

·    An educational gallery with state of art technology will be setup exhibiting the inspiring incidents from the life of Bhagavad Ramanujacharya.

·    A gold deity of Bhagavad Ramanujacharya weighing 120 kgs representing the number of years He lived in this world, will be installed in the Dhyana mandiram (meditation hall).

·    An Omnimax theatre will be constructed to screen highly educational and culturally significant short movies about the secrets of the Universe as recorded in our Vedic scriptures.

·    The entire site will be environment friendly, with highly sophisticated security features on par with international standards. 

His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy also spoke about The Legacy of Sri Ramanujacharya.  He said: A thousand years ago, in a society riddled with blatant caste based oppression, one man championed the cause of the downtrodden.

One man single highhandedly heralded a cultural storm, bearing the touch of original Vedic knowledge. One man opened the doors of the temples wide to the hitherto banned “untouchables”. And today, millions come together to pay tribute to this one man, this one man, this saint nonpareil who paved the way for a modern, inclusive spiritual awakening. Today, Sri Ramanujacharya Swamy is more than a holy name. He is a beacon of the equality and hope for the generations to come.” 

As part of the Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi Millennium Celebrations 1000 years (1017-2017), His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy also announced an International Short Film Festival on “His Holiness Sri Ramanujacharya” organized by Jeeyar Integrated Vedic Academy (JIVA) in association with Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) & Savetemples.org, USA. 

The International Short Film Festival on ‘His Holiness Sri Ramanujacharya” to be held between 1st and 3rd February, 2018 at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad, Telangana and Prize distribution ceremony will be held on 4th February 2018 at Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram, JIVA, Sriram Nagar, Shamshabad, Hyderabad-509217, Telangana. 

The theme for the film festival is ‘His Holiness Sri Ramanujacharya”. The films will depict the Glory and Greatness of Sri Ramanujacharya and also the reforms that he brought in the social life. 

The best Short Film will be given a cash prize of Rs.10 lakhs with “Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdhi Puraskaram”, the Second best Short Film gets Rs. 8 lakhs and the Third best Short Film will get Rs. 6 lakhs. Three additional Special commendation cash prizes of Rs. 1 lakh each will also be given to selected Short Film makers. 

Apart from the prizes, winners will be honoured with Memento and Participation Certificate and every participant will get Appreciation certificate. Special Individual Commendations also will be presented in different individual categories like Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director etc., in selected short films. 

List of selected films for Screening will be declared on 10th January, 2018 and Short Films selected by jury will be screened during Film Festival. 

The basic rules and regulations for the film festival are as follows-: 

–          The duration of the Short Film should not exceed 8 minutes in duration.

–          The films prepared after 2015 are only eligible for the entry. An authorization letter should be enclosed along with the entry.

–          Those films which already got award in any other film festival should not be sent as entry for this film festival.

–          The Short film made in HD format (1920X1080) and properly edited should only be sent for this film festival.

–          Short Film can be made in any language but English subtitles are mandatory.

–          The film should be in MP4 format and two DVDs must be sent to us. The English sub-titles are compulsory for all the entries. The film should precede with title, name of the director, the duration etc. You should mention that the DVD sent by you is the final cut.

New Delhi, Vijay Goel (Union Minister, youth and sports, Govt. Of India) and cricketer Gautam Gambhir told about the importance of nutrition in our lives, discussions about the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle in the FITINDIA Conclave.

On this occasion, Union Minister Vijay Goel said that today many citizens of our country need to be aware of fitness. Ministry is constantly trying for it. I am going to give a slogan to the country “Stay Fit India”. If we educate the citizens of the nation about the fitness, then the country will be the most prosperous. Mr. Goel also said that soon there will be a law in the country regarding nutrition which is going to stop doping in our country. In addition, Goel also said that we get the maximum number of players from Villages, Slum and backward areas. Being fit For Delhi; we will soon be organizing rural games in whole of Delhi.
Vijay Goel also highlighted the yoga as well. Mr. Goel said that Yoga is very important for physical and mental development & Nutrition has a very big role in this development.

At FIT INDIA Conclave, Gautam Gambhir, the player of the Indian cricket team, said, “What we eat, it makes a different role in our lives.” Nutrition is a big part of my career in cricket. The right nutrition makes a lot of difference to our health. If you have a Trained Fitness Trainer then your chances of getting sick are greatly reduced. During the Fit India conclave organised by Glanbia, Mr. Avik Sanyal, Country Head of Glanbia, said that there is a great need to make India’s people aware about the fit for which we will work together with the government in people’s health related programs. On this occasion, Mr. Sam Bedi, Regional Director of Glanbia said that we are organizing Fit India program under our corporate social responsibility in other cities of the country, In which the importance of nutrition for the people to be healthy is being explained, Which aims to keep people healthy and to protect themselves from diseases.

Premier League,British Council,SAI join hands with Premier Skills to Coach the coaches

A press conference held today at Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium by Premier Skills with Premier League, British Council,  SAI, AIFF members to illustrate the achievement of their Coaching programme in Delhi and they shall be imparting coaching to the coaches in Goa, Kolkata & Guwahati.

Premier Skills has delivered tremendous impact to date. Since 2007, the programme has run in 29 countries around the world, with over 2,300 face-to-face coach training interventions, more than 400,000 young people reached, and over one million football-focused English language materials distributed.

Presently 60 Indian coaches from the Sports Authority of India, Delhi Soccer Association and Physical Education teachers from Kendriya Vidyalaya undergo training to help build and strengthen community coaching, English language and leadership skills.

New Delhi: 2nd July 2017 Premier Skills, in association with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) initiated a coach education programme that aims to bring football enthusiasts together and equip them skills, knowledge and confidence required to create sustainable communities and a greater understanding of the role football can play in tackling other social issues. This week-long training program for 60 football coaches from the Sports Authority of India, Delhi Soccer Association and Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools come to an end on 2nd July at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium amidst a celebratory closing event.

The Coach Education Programme was le by Jeremy Weeks, Premier Skills Head Coach who was supported by Tom Hughes, an early-years coach with Manchester City in the Community, and Elliot Sutcliffe, a coach with Manchester City. On ground assistance was provided by four Indian Premier Skills coach educators that have supported the programme for over a year.

Premier Skills is a partnership between the Premier League and the British Council that uses football to inspire young people and provided face to face training for local community coaches, youth leaders and teachers with a view to participants cascading their newly acquired skills to their peers and the young people back in their own schools and communities. Premier Skills has already delivered a highly successful programme in India, training 600 coaches, who in turn have reached 30,000 young people since the programme began.

Premier Skills was launched in 2007 and there are some fantastic success stories from the project, including Premier Skill participants who have gone on to run their own community football programmes, volunteers who now help deliver Premier Skills itself, and coaches who have connected via the project and now run community sport festivals Since the programme began in 2007, 17,715 coaches and referees have been trained in 29′ countries,  who in turn reached 1.5 million young people in 29 countries.

Tim Vine, Premier League Director of International Relations, said, ”Premier Skills is having a significant impact on both the quality and numbers of coaches and referees there are at the grassroots of the game right across India. Utilising highly-skilled Premier League club coaches as trainers, this new phase with the sports Authority of India took to Delhi for the programme and received a great response. The idea was to further build on the excellent initial work we have done with them in Kerala and Goa over the past three years.

”Alongside the separate Premier Skills programme, we are delivering with the India Super League and AIFF, this underline the major contribution the Premier League is making to help grow football across India.”

Alan Gemmell, Dieector British Council India said, ”In the UK-India Year of Culture the British Council is strengthening its relationship with the Sports Authority of India ant the All India Football Federation through the Premier Skills programme. We are delighted to support the training of a new generation of football coaches that aims to connect and inspire young people through sport”

Injeti Srinivas, Union Secretary (Sports) Cum- Director General, Sports Authority of India said, ” Sport is a powerful tool for individual development, youth empowerment, gender equality, social integration, peace and economic development Football, which is the popular sport in the world, is ideally suited to serve as a powerful medium to inculcate sporting culture at individual, community and national level in order to reap the benefits. I take this opportunity to compliment Premier League and the British Council for running the Premier Skills programme in different parts of the country. which has emerged as a highly successful programme for sports development at the grassroots level. Sports Authority of India is delighted to partner with them in the Premier Skills programme.” A lady, vigilance officer of SAI also spoke to the media and congratulated the government of India and P.M Modi for funding SAI to impart  training to men & women coaches also in this regard and said that she is delighted to see the progress made by the trained coaches.

Kushal Das, General Secretary, All India Football Federation said, “AIFF has been stressing massively on Grassroots Programme and Coach Education in our quest for further development of the game in our Country.
